Intake Checklist: Company Formation

Use this checklist to prepare your documents before opening a company formation case on Qarar. Having all items ready speeds up intake significantly.

All Shareholders and Managers

  • [ ] Passport copy (photo page, clear and in colour, valid for at least 6 months)
  • [ ] Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or government letter — issued within 3 months, showing full name and address)
  • [ ] Emirates ID (if UAE resident — front and back)

If Any Shareholder is a Company (Corporate Shareholder)

  • [ ] Certificate of Incorporation
  • [ ] Memorandum and Articles of Association
  • [ ] Certificate of Good Standing (issued within 6 months)
  • [ ] Register of Directors and Shareholders
  • [ ] Board resolution authorising the UAE company formation and naming the authorised signatory
  • [ ] Attested copies of all documents (MOFA-attested or apostilled, as applicable)
  • [ ] Certified Arabic translation of all non-English documents

Business Details

  • [ ] Proposed company name (minimum 3 alternatives in order of preference)
  • [ ] Business activity description (what the company will do, as specifically as possible)
  • [ ] Proposed share structure and capital (if known)
  • [ ] Preferred jurisdiction (free zone name or mainland preference, if known)

Optional but Useful

  • [ ] Physical office requirement (flexi-desk, co-working, dedicated office, or no UAE office needed)
  • [ ] Employee headcount planned in year 1
  • [ ] Target bank for corporate account (if known)
  • [ ] Linked services needed (visa, banking, TRC)
